Dayday’s latest work for Nike features the incredible story of Ingrid Silva, a Brazilian ballet dancer and the founder of Blacks in Ballet. The work was featured via Nike Global social media

Silva, an activist, renowned ballet dancer, and soon to be mother, has been a leading voice in the mission to increase awareness and highlight black ballet dancers around the world. In this new work for Nike, Ingrid, originally from Brazil, communicates her mission in english and her native Portuguese, set against captivating imagery of her dancing while pregnant. Silva has also been recognized globally for painting her own pointe shoes to ensure they match her skin tone, a matter that had not previously been acknowledged by the ballet community.
